This was how I spent my COVID
Designed and built personal PC from scratch using prefabricated components. This was a super fun and incitful learning expirence for me as it was the first time I really started to tinker around with anything related to electrical/computer engineering. It actually was the reason that my major I initally decided to apply to NC State under the computer engineering program, before I switched over to aerospace after some time.
Type: Electrical/Computer Engineering
Goal: Build a personal PC that I can use for productivity and play games on
Problems: Had never build a computer before and had little to no idea what I was doing
Solutions: Taught myself the basics from youtube and the web, reached out to mentors that I knew for advice on component selection
